About this bottle
Burgen Cannon Strength Gin is based on the classic Burgen Bio Dry Gin. It's diluted to 58.5% ABV rather than 45%, with plenty of resting time built into the process.
The first thing you notice when you add tonic to Burgen Cannon Strength Edition Gin is the cloudiness. It's called the louche effect. The high concentration of oils in the gin creates that cloudiness, giving you a visible sense of how tightly the aromas are packed into its 58.5% ABV.
More alcohol for less alcohol in your Gin and Tonic
What? The gin has more alcohol, but your Gin and Tonic has less? How does that work? It's simple. Cannon Strength Gin carries its flavours so densely that you can use considerably less gin in a normal Gin and Tonic. In several trials, just 15–20 ml of gin with 200 ml of tonic water was enough for a well-balanced drink. That's how more becomes less.
Burgen Cannon Strength Gin is based on Burgen Bio Dry Gin, with an ABV of 58.5% to echo the distillery's founding year. Stronger than a typical navy strength, and with an incredible concentration of flavour. Far from the coast, a naval reference alone wouldn't do. Cannon Strength comes in editions featuring local castles.
